Gottmer Uitgevers Groep Becomes Strategic Partner of the Princess Máxima Center Foundation

30 september 2026

Gottmer Uitgevers Groep is becoming a partner of the Princess Máxima Center Foundation for a period of five years. Driven by a commitment to society and a shared ambition to contribute to better treatments for children with cancer, the family-owned company is deliberately choosing to provide long-term, structural support for the mission of the Princess Máxima Center.

Gottmer Uitgevers Groep is an independent children’s book publisher, known for titles such as Dikkie Dik. Since 1938, Gottmer has been bringing stories, knowledge, and imagination to children. Social commitment, quality, and consideration for future generations are important principles within the family-owned company. Guided by these principles, Gottmer supports organizations that are committed to the well-being and development of children.

Contributing structurally to the future of children with cancer

At the Princess Máxima Center, healthcare professionals and researchers work every day toward one mission: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. This requires ongoing research into better treatments, with fewer side effects and fewer long-term consequences.

Through the five-year partnership, Gottmer is making a structural contribution to this mission. The multi-year support provides continuity and makes it possible to contribute in a targeted way to care and research for children with cancer.

Carine van Wijk, Publishing Director at Gottmer Uitgevers Groep: ‘Every day, we try to make children happy with our books and magazines and to broaden their world a little. With our multi-year financial support for the Princess Máxima Center, we are expanding that role. Everyone at Gottmer wholeheartedly embraces this new partnership, and we are proud to contribute in this way to important research for children with cancer.’

Nienke Beek, Lead Corporate Partnerships: ‘We are especially grateful to Gottmer Uitgevers Groep for this long-term commitment to the mission of the Máxima Center, and we look forward to a valuable partnership in the years ahead. Together, we make a difference in the lives of children with cancer and their families.’
