Postcode Lottery contributes € 1.5 million to accelerate international collaboration

Participants of the Postcode Lottery are making € 1.5 million available to the Princess Máxima Center Foundation for Máxima International. It is the first time the Postcode Lottery has awarded a contribution of this kind to the Máxima. This support enables us to deepen existing international partnerships and accelerate the development of new collaborations. We are deeply grateful to the participants of the Postcode Lottery for this exceptional contribution.

Curing more children worldwide

Each year, more than 400,000 children around the world are diagnosed with cancer, and survival rates vary greatly by country. While approximately 80% of children in the Netherlands survive five years after diagnosis, that percentage is below 20% in many low- and middle-income countries. Through Máxima International, we work together with 26 partner hospitals worldwide to improve care, share knowledge, and train healthcare professionals.

Strengthening care at the Máxima

These collaborations also lead to new insights and treatment approaches that directly contribute to better care for children at the Máxima. Together, we are taking important steps to improve survival rates and quality of life for children with cancer worldwide.
