After driving past the Princess Máxima Center for many years and often wondering what it would be like to work there, I have been contributing to the Máxima Foundation since September 2025.
Before that, I worked in the commercial sector for ten years, a valuable period filled with energy and variety. Over time, however, I felt a growing desire to devote my efforts to a purpose closer to my heart. The belief that every child deserves a fair chance at the future ahead of them motivates me each day. Having experienced cancer up close, the mission of the Princess Máxima Center carries special meaning for me.
In my role within Marketing & Communications, I work to increase the visibility and reach of the Foundation. By connecting with more people, we can inform and inspire them to contribute to innovative research and facilities that improve the well-being of children and families. In this way, I help advance the center’s mission: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life.
What touched me from the very beginning is the warmth and dedication of the people here. There is a strong shared drive to move forward together, every single day. And it is precisely that sense of togetherness that makes the difference.
