Lot Jens - Director Foundation
Since July 1, 2020, I have served as Director of the Foundation. I have been working at the Princess Máxima Center Foundation since 2016, first as a senior fundraiser and ‘playing captain.’
Before that, I worked for 10 years at the fundraising agency Van Dooren Advies. One of my clients stood out: the Princess Máxima Center. I was deeply moved by the passion and mission of the Máxima Center, and I wholeheartedly accepted the invitation to join the Foundation and build a team. Today, our team consists of 12 professionals who work every day with energy and dedication to raise as many funds as possible to help accelerate the realization of the Máxima’s mission: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. The Máxima Center was built in part thanks to the valuable support of donors and is now a leading center in Europe.
As a Foundation, we continue to further professionalize our work so that we can contribute optimally to innovative treatments and pioneering research. This helps improve the chances of cure for children with cancer, now and in the future.
